About PTU
Puducherry Technological University (PTU) is the first state University of Union Territory of Puducherry. It seamlessly came into existence on 5th September 2020 upon the elevation of erstwhile Pondicherry Engineering College - PEC (established in the year 1985 under the 7th five-year plan) with the University status. PTU began its journey with a position of pre-eminence and rightly stands as one of the finest engineering schools offering Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral study programmes in the prominent disciplines of Engineering/Technology, Science, Management and Entrepreneurship. Highly qualified faculty, diverse student population from across the country, best-of-breed infrastructure and an expansive campus sprawling over 185.8 acres of luscious green landscape on the shores of tantalizing Bay of Bengal present a vibrant ecosystem for the pursuit of intellectual excellence. Thirty-six years on since its original inception, PTU has built a legacy for itself and stands in good stead in terms of discernible academic parameters. NIRF, MHRD, Govt. of India has ranked us at 150 under the category of engineering education. Warning Notice to the commuters for unauthorized parking in campus
It is informed that any unauthorized parking of vehicles in
the campus beyond office hours without prior permission will
be reported to the Police Station and legal action will be
taken.
முன் அனுமதியின்றி பல்கலை வளாகத்தில் அலுவலக நேரம் தாண்டியும்
நிறுத்தி வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ள வாகனங்களால் மாணவ மாணவிகளின்
பாதுகாப்புக்கு அச்சுறுத்தலாக இருப்பதால், அத்தகைய வாகனங்களை
அகற்ற கோரி காலாப்பட்டு காவல்துறைக்கு புகார் அளித்து மேல்
நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்படும் என்று இந்த அறிவிப்பால்
தெரிவிக்கப்படுகின்றது.
Bus Pass for First Year Students (AY 2024-25)
The students getting admitted into first year B.Tech or Lateral Entry to Second year can avail charted bus trip by remitting remitting an amount of ₹ 23,471 to avail bus pass for two semesters.
Launch of Pattern Coding Series by Design Club
The Design Club of PTU has launched the first issue of
Pattern Coding Series on 24th July, 2024. Hardcopies of this
series were unveiled by Prof. S. Mohan, the Vice Chancellor
in the presence of the Dean (Students), Director (Planning
& Development), Associate Dean (Administration) and the
Design Club Mentor Dr. K. Sathiyamurthy along with the
student members of Design Club.
